This weekend, Pittsburghers will have three great opportunities to attend performances by a young Colombian harpist, Carolina Vega, and her brother Daniel.

Carolina Vega is a graduate of the prestigious music school, Academia Llano y Joropoin Bogota, Colombia. She is launching a professional career that includes the Celtic and world harp repertoire as well as her native traditions of Colombia and Venezuela.

The events are free to the public (no cover), with funding from free will donations and sale of recordings.

This tour is an initiative of the Baquiano program, a partnership between Harping for Harmony Foundation and Academia Llano y Joropo. The purpose is to introduce and to present Latin American harp music to new audiences in North America. Donate at events or online to support the Baquiano program.
